career best in the 1600 meter run at the Collinsville Invitational to
finish third overall with a time of 4:34.4 which is 10 seconds faster
than his best time this year and four seconds faster than his time in
the Sectional last year. It comes at a time when the season winds down
towards the conference meet next week. There were 22 teams that
competed at Collinsville. The Rams finished 14th overall. Cahokia was
the team champion. Other notable performances for Mt. Vernon included
Campbell Walters taking fourth in the 3200 meter run, Chicken Stuckey
